The fabric is casually woven with the traditional snow pattern called "Baikasho", which was used on the cases used by princesses in the Edo period to put candy cutters in. It is a highly sophisticated design that is a modern arrangement of a good old Japanese pattern that has been popular since that time.
Each item is hand-dyed by a dyer in Tokushima Prefecture, and features natural coconut buttons with a deep indigo color that cannot be achieved through mass production. These unique buttons that peek out are also part of the charm of this item.
The manufacturing process is also done by hand by skilled seamstresses, and the attention to detail is outstanding. It combines elegance and casualness, and can be worn in a variety of situations.
