The Ookamdzumi pattern on the Aloha shirt, a symbol of harvest, is more than just decorative. Ookamdzumi, the Japanese god of fertility, and the mountains of fruit seen in Western frescoes. This unique pattern embodies the wish for a bountiful harvest, which is common across different cultures. This intricately rendered design pushes the limits of inkjet technology, and embodies the fusion of the finest technology and art.

Each item is hand-dyed by a dyer in Tokushima Prefecture, and features natural coconut buttons with a deep indigo color that cannot be achieved through mass production. These unique buttons that peek out are also part of the charm of this item.

Fabric and care

About the fabric

Fabrics made from cotton and silk are soft to the touch due to the moisture absorption of cotton, and the luster of silk adds an elegant shine to casual aloha shirts. In addition, both cotton and silk are natural fibers, yet durable and maintain their beauty for a long time.

About Inkjet Printing

Using a special technique that allows printing on fabrics including silk, the aloha shirts are imbued with a deep, unique feel.

Care and storage

To ensure you can enjoy fashion for a long time, we recommend storing silk products in a closet that is not exposed to fluorescent lights or sunlight. This will prevent discoloration due to sunlight. If you are concerned about stains, we recommend dry cleaning.

If you are concerned about wrinkles or color transfer, do not leave the garment wet; instead, hang it to dry immediately with the buttons open.

When ironing, place a pressing cloth on the reverse side and iron at low temperature.
