We want both the wearer and the maker to have a deep connection with the story. By putting on the garment, you become part of the story and experience a special moment where tradition and modernity come together in harmony.
Traditional wear
SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT
We use traditional kimono fabrics that Japan is proud of around the world. Among them, the fabrics from "Kodaya Genbei", a long-established weaving company in Muromachi, Kyoto, are special.
Kondaya Genbei has a history of over 280 years, having been founded in 1742. The outstanding techniques and highly artistic textiles that have been handed down from generation to generation are renowned as traditional crafts representative of Japan, and are highly regarded both at home and abroad.
The attitude of carefully weaving each thread is the very origin of "monozukuri" (manufacturing). By continuing to carefully preserve traditional techniques while introducing new looms, we are able to create timeless beauty. This series is made using Kondaya Genbei fabric and is carefully crafted down to the smallest detail.
